Hey all,
So yesterday my mom and I went on a little shopping spree even though I shouldn't have buttttt I couldn't help it. We went to the mother of all plaza's...it had Ross, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods all lined up screaming our names. Although we didn't get to Hobby Lobby, we were able to go to Ross, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods and I really wanted to spruce up the living room a little. Ross, TJ Max, and Homegoods all had something I really loved which is not anywhere in my budget LOL.
Anyways, my style in home decor is really chic boho so anything ornate, handmade, or warm woods is what I love. The first stop was Ross and I wasn't really expecting anything out of it because Ross is a pretty popular store and usually runs out of a lot of things but Mom pointed out the perfect ottoman that had bohemian written all over it.
The bottom of this ottoman is my absolute favorite! But I also really love the pattern, it's vibrant and unique.
After, we went to TJ Maxx which was right next door. Let me tell you, this was probably one of the nicest TJ Maxx's I've been to. It was so open and organized and normally when you go into a TJ Maxx it feels like you walked into a cramped room where you could barely get through the aisles with your cart...it just wouldn't work. But this one was open and the people there were friendly which isn't a TJ Maxx character trait. The store had so much home decor it was awesome, especially wall decor and not priced outrageously and that's where I got these two cute little plant pictures. I've been looking for some more wall decor because there is still a lot of walls that need to be brought alive.
Bonus of this is that I didn't even use a leveler! Wooo!
After getting 2 pictures, an outfit and toy for Zaeven, we then went to our last stop which was Homegoods. Homegoods is always dangerous no matter if you are on a mission or not; there are SO many cute decor items it's kind of unfair to be honest. I honestly wasn't even planning on buying anything...I even left my wallet in the car so I WOULDN'T buy anything but that's just now how it works, does it? I found a really cute pillow that was in the clearance section for $8.00!! I was like well, I can't just get one pillow and not match it; the couch would be super uneven. So, I definitely splurged on the other two but really love them all because like the ottoman, they scream bohemian to the design and the make.
Then here are the other two pillows I got to match
Really mom was there (at Homegoods) to look for a runner and ended up not finding one but I also needed one and definitely found one that spoke to me and the rest of my home. Not only was this runner handmade from India but it was BEAUTIFULLY handmade from India and had the perfect color and design that welcomed anyone who came inside.
Every little shopping adventure with my mom is always fun and am grateful that I still have her to do it with! I do thank her for getting me most of the home decor you see and appreciate helping me out on making my home more welcoming.
I also thank the companies Ross, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods for providing such cute decor! You don't have to go to a luxury or well-known designer company to get good quality home decor.
Here is a little overview of my living room currently (this is very hard to maintain like this btw LOL)
