Hey all,
I just wanted to make a quick post and share about some of the new planters I got along with the hangers for the ones I'm going to hang. They are SO cute and definitely fit into the theme of bohemian chic that you can find all over the rest of my house. The planters I got on Amazon but the person who makes and sells them is called MIGN which is a sub-brand from Amazon and they have all kinds of terracotta planters that show different patterns on them. Now, the macrame hangers I also got on Amazon and the brand that makes and sells these is called MoonLa in which they have a number of house plants and decorations that fall into the natural element category.
Obviously, my interior style is Chic Bohemian and if you do not know what that is, I shall explain! Chic Bohemian is almost the most causal but stylish mix of interior design. It involves a lot of hand-made textures and patterns, a lot of neutral colors with pops of oranges, reds, turquoise, and sometimes purples (at least for me). There is a lot of macrame and I mean A LOT but there are so many variations of it which makes it unique instead of the same pattern or make. Now, I want to make something clear...just because it is boho does NOT mean it is all sustainable or earth-friendly. Of course, I wish I was a super good and friendly shopper but I'm not and I can honestly admit that. The more sustainable and hand-made it is; the more expensive it gets in which my wallet and non-existing job can't afford so I try to stick with what looks closest to the style I want as well as go savage on the sales and clearance sections of any home decor store. This style is so eclectic at the same time because you really can mesh it with anything that follows the natural vibe of positivity and creativity. If you do decide you want to follow this style here are some tips:
Don't overthink it; this design is NOT structured
Use natural and earthy colors mixed with some pops
Go to antique and thrift stores to find the GOOD and unique stuff that no one else will have. Those are the best treasures!
I'm both obsessed with the planters and the hangers for them but I'm more excited about the transformation I'm making in my back patio. I'll be showing you all the final product once it is finished which might take me another month or so to be where I would like it.
