Hey all!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while...it's been a little chaotic this week especially coming from the baby shower and getting everything together. We received SO much before the baby shower already but when the baby shower happened, we just got spoiled. The whole baby shower turned out absolutely perfect from the venue, to the guests, to the food, and to the overall special and happy feeling. This event made me realize how much support and love we truly have in our lives and also, that Zaeven will always have love and support from both families.
Our theme for the baby shower was Greek mythology so we used gold's, royal blue, and an off-white with fake ivory and gold metallic candle holders and other finishes that shows the culture of Greek mythology. Who came up with it? The boyfriend actually came up with it and I loved it because it's so unique and you don't really hear it in baby shower themes. Just setting it up and decorating it was a lot of fun because once we were done it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
Anyways, there is so much I want to update you guys about including the nursery adding in some things that were given at the baby shower. Also, this is to really to show how loved and supported we truly are and I couldn't be more blessed.

The Gifts
Having a baby shower is fun and a really special moment for Mom & Dad so when planning one or even having your new Grandma's plan one...here are some tips to remember:
Preparing for Your Baby Shower
Pick a date (at least a month away from your due date) and write it down!!
Decide on a theme (Pinterest is always a good place to look)
Look for a venue and decide what kind of food you want (only if you aren't bringing your own)
Find a cake decorator (DO YOUR RESEARCH)
Write out the guest list; both sides of the family and friends. Remember to include addresses!
Order invitations and if the invitations you are ordering include Thank You Letters and envelopes just order it all then instead of waiting last minute. Procrastination is not fun...
Once the invitations come in, send them out ASAP...this will help people prepare (or not) to RVSP and get their gifts.
Write down who is coming and who is not...this will help determine food amount as well as letting the venue know how many people are coming
Once you know your theme, start ordering/getting your decorations. Most of your decorations you can get at Dollar Tree or Hobby Lobby but I'll put that in my Resources section of this post.
Find your "baby shower" outfit and try it on if it is something new
Gather all your decorations for the shower and put them altogether where you WON'T FORGET THEM! This will help you keep a little saner as well as anyone else that's helping you lol.
Once the shower is near, pack everything in the car the night before...not the day of (I learned this the hard way); makes everything less stressful. Try to arrive at the venue earlier to drop off the decorations and set up
Make sure to breathe; I almost forgot to do this
Once the day arrives, let everyone set up and do the heavy lifting as you most likely won't be able to! As much as you'll want to do, it's not good for you or the baby.
HAVE FUN!
