Knowing and Alert!

Hey all!

So, I know I just posted about my baby, Zaeven, but I have to post again because he is just too darn cute not to and he becomes more alert everyday which means more pictures! LOL. I finally got a picture of him smiling which is so hard because the smile lasts but of 5 seconds and its usually when he is in and out of consciousness. But the fact that I got the picture fully awake and with his blue/green eyes wide open was a pure blessing! Whenever he smiles, weather awake or not, I get the biggest smile on my face because it is just pure joy and innocence.

This next one, he's just looking at me crazy like "Women, why did you put me in this round thing?" but with a slight grin.

And this one...well just speaks for itself

I love all three of these so much but these other ones have me really happy because he is especially alert looking at his space themed mobile. He was just staring at it, watching it turn and listening to the nursery rhymes being played; it was amazing! He was laying there calmly for a couple of minutes and then stated waving his arms, in which I knew was a sign he was about to start crying so I also had to take these very fast.

He was enjoying his 10 minutes that he lasted in his crib and I'm lucky to get that long again! But I've learned that babies enjoy stimulus, they enjoy having something in front of them; weather that is some kind of light such as the window or plush toys spinning around while making music. I think it's super important to keep their mind open and awake, especially during the day if you want to sleep at night. I learned that a day ago when ALL day he was fussy even after he ate but at the end of the night, he only woke up ONCE. That is literally a record for this boy (and me). So, I definitely encourage expecting and new moms to have some kind of playmat or a mobile to keep their little brains going!

BTW, I got my mobile at Babylist.
